Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.


Author Guidelines

Manuscripts submitted to IJMSR may be up to 10 pages including abstract, tables, and references as well as the main text. However, manuscripts below this limit are preferred. Harvard referencing style should be used for citation (Australian legal citation style for law articles), Times New Roman - font size 20 for the title, 12 for headings for subsections, 10 for main test with 1.0 spacing - preferably MS Word 2007. Abstract should be 1,000 characters (maximum), paging - 2 columns - page numbers at the bottom (middle). Authors can use personal pronouns.                             Manuscripts should include a cover page that provides the title of the manuscript, author's name, institution, affiliation, and a citation eg:                                                   Citation: Ampofo, BA 2015, ‘Staying at the top; building a sustainable competitive advantage’, Journal of Management & Scientific Research, Vol. 1, Iss. 1, pp. 10-15. 

Authors must reference their papaers in line with IJMASR Harvard Citation style. Data-sets, research instruments, and any kind of such materials should be attached as Supplementary files in the submission process. The table below throws light on IJMASR Harvard Referencing style.

For journal citations, in all situations, details regarding the name of the Journal, volume, & issue number, and page numbers must be given. 

Example: Lin, T, Zhuang, J, Yarcia, D & Lin, F 2008, ‘Income inequality in the People’s Republic of China and its decomposition’,Asian Development Review, vol. 25, no 2, pp. 1-18.

For web citations, the last time the info was updated on the site, time the info was accessed must be given as well as the URL

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end. 10 pages -maximum including references. Referencing style - Harvard - (Australian Legal citation styles for law articles). Font size - Main Title - 14- Heading -12, Test 10 - Times New Roman, Sinlge Spacing. Abstract - 1,000 characters, Page numbers at the bottom (middle), Layout - 2 columns.  




  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

In order for IJMASR to publish and disseminate research articles, the Journal needs publishing rights. However, Authors retain significant rights to use and share their own published articles. Authors have copyright but confer exclusive rights of their articles to IJMSR. In this case authors have the right to:

Share their article in the same ways permitted to third parties under the relevant user license (together with Personal Use rights)

•Retain patent, trademark and other intellectual property rights.

•Retain attribution and credit for the published work.

Authors transfer copyright to the IJMSR as part of a journal publishing agreement, but have the right to:

Share their articles for personal use, internal institutional use and scholarly sharing purposes with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship.

•Retain patent, trademark and other intellectual property rights.

•Retain attribution and credit for the published work.


Rights Granted to IJMASR

For both subscription and open access articles, published in IJMASR, IJMASR is granted the following rights:

  • The exclusive right to publish and distribute an article, and to grant rights to others, including for commercial purposes.
  • For open access articles, IJMASR will apply the relevant third party user license where IJMASR publishes the article on its online platform.
  • The right to provide the article in all forms and media so the article can be used on the latest technology even after publication.
  • The authority to enforce the rights in the article, on behalf of an author, against third parties, for example in the case of plagiarism or copyright infringement.
